Sightseeing
This is the main street of Naha City, the largest city in Okinawa. Lined with palm trees and filled with a tropical atmosphere, the street is lined with restaurants and souvenir stores, making it an indispensable spot for sightseers. The sound of sanshin, Okinawa 's traditional music culture, can be heard from many stores here and there, making you feel as if you are in Okinawa just by walking down the street.
Tomari Port is the gateway between Naha and the islands of the Kerama archipelago via regular shipping routes. From the terminal, nicknamed "Tomarin" you can reach major islands such as Zamami Island, Tokashiki Island, and Aka Island. The Kerama Islands are known worldwide for the beautiful blue of the sea, called "Kerama blue" and its rich nature, and are a mecca for diving, snorkeling, and other marine leisure activities. In addition to the full-fledged marine leisure activities, there are many other attractions such as sea bathing and sea turtle watching. Since Hotel Aqua Cittanaha is a short walk from Tomari Port, many of our guests stay here as a base for sightseeing in Kerama.
It is accessible to Nago City in the north, Churaumi Aquarium, American Village in Chatan, and various sightseeing destinations.
Umikazi Terrace on Senaga Island is a resort facility adjacent to the west coast of Senaga Island, about 15 minutes by car from Naha Airport.
It is also called the Amalfi of Japan because of the beautiful contrast between the pure white storefronts built on the slope and the turquoise blue.
The number of visitors to Senaga Island annually is approximately 3.3 million, making it a popular spot in Okinawa. You can enjoy more than 40 unique stores offering fruits and vegetables unique to Okinawa, gourmet sweets with locally produced menus, select stores, made in OKINAWA jewelry, and more. It is a must-see sightseeing spot.
Ocean of Okinawa - Ocean Expo Park offers visitors a rich natural, historical, and cultural experience, as well as a chance to interact with dolphins. The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is one of the most popular attractions at Ocean Expo Park. The aquarium offers a magnificent world of mysterious Okinawan creatures. The "Coral Sea" tank, bathed in sunlight, features a large coral breeding exhibit. The "Kuroshio Sea" is a huge and powerful tank where you can observe whale sharks, the world's largest fish, and the world's first successfully bred southern manta ray. Visitors can also experience the entire ocean of Okinawa in the "Deep Sea" tank, which recreates the mysterious deep sea of Okinawa.
Nami no Ue Beach is the only sandy beach in Naha where swimming is allowed. The beach is within walking distance from the city center, so even city dwellers without a car can easily visit the beach. The beach is only a 15-minute walk from the hotel and a 10-minute drive from Naha Airport via the Umisora Tunnel.
